CLOSI exists to return classical beauty to contemporary life, not as nostalgia, but as a living language.
CLOSI exists to make art that means something, in a tradition that knew how. The studio works in the visual language of the Italian and Northern Renaissance because that tradition built the most resonant vocabulary the West has ever had for the things that still matter to human beings, devotion, mortality, love, virtue, beauty, the visible world as a sign of the invisible. CLOSI makes new work in that language, for a contemporary moment that needs it.
CLOSI Vision
For CLOSI to become the defining studio of meaningful contemporary classical-aesthetic art over the next decade, the studio that proved beauty and substance still belonged together, and that the European pictorial tradition was the right vocabulary for serious contemporary work about devotion, mortality, love, virtue, and the inner life.
CLOSI.com is a contemporary fine art studio working in the Renaissance tradition. The studio produces original digital compositions, drawing on the formal vocabulary, iconography, and devotional seriousness of the Italian and Northern Renaissance, and releases them as museum-quality archival pigment prints in small, hand-signed editions. A limited number of original commissioned works are accepted each year.
Every CLOSI work is an original composition by the artist behind the studio, not a reproduction. The prints are produced to museum conservation standards on archival paper, with archival pigments. Each is signed and numbered by hand. Each travels with a personally signed Certificate of Authenticity.
The studio works at a deliberate pace. Editions are small, prices rise across editions and never fall, and the studio does not run sales. The discipline around scarcity is a form of respect, for the work, for the buyer, and for the long life these works will have in private collections and on secondary markets in the decades ahead.
